I am planning to buy Ford Fusion Plus, simply reason being I am a tall(6.3) and fat guy and wanted something like Ambassador. My segment will be diesel Hatchbacks
Will it be a good idea to go for Ford Fusion Plus since I am fearing the model would be phased soon
Hi SKS. Would suggest you test drive vehicles that have the required headroom and also are not too narrow to ensure that you have adequate comfort while driving. The Fusion fits your requirement very well. I havnt read anything indicating a phase out of the Fusion as of now. Only news about Ford is a possible vehicle smaller than the Fusion that is yet to be launched/announced. If you like the Fusion just go ahead with a test drive. Service will be good but parts/service costs may be higher than other similar diesels (per autocar March 09).
Do check out the vehicles from Tata & Fiat for their space (forget the refinement and features and ASS) and Maruti (cheaper service costs and decent mileage) have new vehicles that are just launched that you do not have to worry about being phased out. The Punto has a long wheelbase and will let you stretch out while the Ritz has amazing headroom .
The I20 diesel should come out sometime soon and will be worth waiting to see as well – should be out by around September.
